My name is Jake Goede and I am a luthier from Central Texas that specializes in natural looking and feeling guitars and basses. Building guitars and basses since 2006 with a passion for doing things hands on.
As a guitar builder , I view the natural flow and features of the wood as a canvas and do the best to showcase that in my work.
It's about more than just looks however... These guitars come set up to play like a dream. Balance and ergonomics is priority.
I also hand wind the majority of my pickups, and take great care in shielding and sound quality in general.
Understanding what makes the whole puzzle come together to make these unique instruments come to life with all the tone, resonance and playability you can expect from a high end hand-crafted guitar.
Attention to detail....
All the work done to these guitars is done by one single set of hands from block of wood, to finished instrument.
I make it a point to make as much of the guitar, and its components myself, as possible. aside from hardware, such as bridge and tuners etc..... You will find hand-crafted details, such as wood pickup rings, truss rod covers, control cavity covers and pickguards often made from the same, matching woods as used in the rest of the build. Rarely do I use plastic, or synthetic materials.
However that's not all. I also Hand-wind the majority of my pickups used in these guitars. That of course is not mandatory, and I will use other reputable brands as requested, but in general, my pickups are in these guitars.... and boy do they make them sing!!
